![]() ![]() If things then go ok, it will then switch to higher functionality drivers, including some that support DRM (for people watching copy protected movies on Xcp-ng consoles?) and even accelerated iGPU drivers like i915. ![]() I've been trying to understand what's going on there and the common denominator is UEFI boot, which is becoming not only the default, but increasingly the only choice.įrom what I could gather when I was booting Xcp-ng on older hardware (in addition to the NUC8, I also tried things on a Skylake laptop, basically a NUC6 with a screen and UPS), Xcp-ng isn't actually using any iGPU driver at all, neither the i915 nor one of the older ones initially, but EFIFB, an EFI based frame buffer driver on Xen, at least during the first phases of the boot. Impression is that this is very much related to my NUC troubles. ![]()
